About Me
Mr. Jarsma is a husband, father and teacher. He has been married to his wife, Cynthia, for twenty-one years and has an adorable son named Truman. He graduated from Parchment High School too many years ago to count. He has spent many years within the halls of colleges and universities including Nazareth College in Kalamazoo, where he graduated with a BA degree with a history major. He continued his education at Macomb Community College and St. Clair Community College earning credits toward a teaching degree. He, then, was accepted to Saginaw Valley State University where he earned his teaching certificate and his Masters of Arts in Teaching degree. Mr. Jarsma has worked as a SACC Aide and paraprofessional at L'Anse Creuse Public Schools and is currently teaching at Richmond Community Schools at the Middle School, fifth/sixth grade split. He loves to read, travel, bird (yes, the verb), and enjoy nature. In summer 2007, Mr. Jarsma and his wife traveled to the Amazon Rainforest in Peru and enjoyed nature watching, visiting villages and schools, fishing for piranha and Peacock Bass, judging a juane cooking contest, and eating grubs!
